This is the scariest thing a buyer will face when looking for a home. You'll have to decide:
DO I GO FOR IT?
It's a scary thing. You're making a huge decision and you think, should I even do this? Is this the right one? What if another BETTER one pops up in a couple days?
Here's the thing... When you begin the journey of looking for a home with your Realtor, you have to be in the mind set that you will jump in with both feet if something comes up that tickles your fancy. You must trust in your instincts and go for it. Look at your top 10 list that your Realtor had you make out (see that article here) and trust in it. Any hesitation could cost you the home, because simply, if you like the home, so do other buyers who went to that open house this past weekend. Others may be in the right mindset and ready to go 'All In'.
Yes, other properties may pop up, but..... will they? Inventory is low right now. This is what I call the 'grass is greener' effect. You know the saying. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. You can play this game in your head for months and it will only cause you stress. Who needs that?
Trust in your initial instincts, and move forward. Remember, even if you go into contract with this home, you have 17 DAYS to do your due diligence, inspections etc, and decide if this home is for you. Writing an offer does not marry you to the property.
